A rigorously tailored coat from Phoebe Philo’s Resort 2017 collection for Céline, defined by an exceptional manipulation of classic menswear construction.

Cut in taupe wool gabardine, the elongated double-breasted silhouette is dramatically drawn inward at the waist, creating an almost corseted line before falling into a long, controlled skirt. Sharp peak lapels and traditional horn-effect buttons retain the language of formal tailoring, while the exaggerated hourglass proportion shifts the piece into something distinctly Philo.
