Presented on the Spring / Summer 2017 Runway under Phoebe Philo this extraordinary Woven Collar Dress is cut in fluid black fabric. The dress is defined by its dramatic oversized woven collar, rendered in contrasting ivory long hand-finished fringe detailing. The striking collar frames the garment almost like a piece of textile sculpture. The body of the dress falls in an intentionally loose shape, interrupted by asymmetrical panels, raw-edge finishes and an open front slit construction. One of the most remarkable details as well lies in its suspended sleeve construction. Although the dress features full-length sleeves, they are not intended to be worn in the conventional sense.
