An exceptional pair from Phoebe Philo’s Summer 2017 Céline collection, combining dramatically irregular baroque pearls with small turquoise cabochon details and gold-tone settings.

The earrings appeared on the runway and in the Céline advertising campaign, making them a particularly strong documented piece from the collection. Their deliberately organic, imperfect pearl forms capture Philo’s distinctive approach to jewellery — precious materials treated with an almost sculptural irregularity rather than conventional polish.

The turquoise punctuations give the oversized pearls an unexpected graphic contrast, while every natural variation in the pearls makes the pair inherently individual.
