An exceptional runway and campaign piece from Phoebe Philo’s Winter 2016 collection for Céline.

Constructed as a highly engineered reinterpretation of the classic mackintosh, the trench reveals its complexity through contrasting camel panels, exposed black structural taping, oversized belts, metal eyelets and utilitarian hardware. The interior is as considered as the exterior — almost architectural in its construction.

Presented on the Winter 2016 runway and subsequently featured in the Céline advertising campaign, the coat belongs to the most directional outerwear of Philo’s Céline years. Preserved New With Tags in FR36, an especially rare condition for a documented runway and campaign piece.
