An exceptional runway piece from Phoebe Philo’s Spring 2011 collection for Céline, defined by its extraordinary handwoven construction.

Built from an intricate composition of contrasting yarns, braided fibres, open weaves and elongated fringes, the coat transforms traditional textile techniques into an almost sculptural form. The oversized hood and heavily textured shoulders give the piece its distinctive architectural presence, while the raw, irregular surface reveals the complexity of its making. A rare example of the artisanal side of Phoebe Philo’s Céline, and a true collector’s piece. Size FR38.
